Chinese Barbecued Spareribs Recipe
Ingredients* 2 lbs Spareribs
* 1 Clove Garlic
* 4 tbsp Dark soy Sauce
* 1/2 tsp Hot Chili oil (optional)
* 3 tbsp Orange honey (use regular honey if Orange unavailable)
* 1 Green onion
* 3 tbsp Hoisin Sauce (or Chee Hou or Chap Sam Sauce - in speciality section of most markets)
* 1 tbsp Dry Marsala wine
Directions
1. Chop ribs into 2 inch sections.
2. Mix remaining ingredients and marinate ribs in mixture for 4-6 hours, turning several times. If you marinate overnight, keep refrigerated and allow to warm up before baking.
3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drain ribs, saving marinade.
4. Place ribs on rack in roasting pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes, basting with the saved marinade every 15 minutes.
5. Turn up heat to 375 degrees and finish, undisturbed, for 15 minutes, until slightly crusty.
Use in Fried Rice or other vegetable dishes.
Serves 4.
